The project -Fiabe Contemporanee- was born from the idea of putting together current stories with works of literature for children and for children in general, telling contemporary stories through classic fairy tales, weaving structures and contents to rewrite others and invent new ones.
L 'ESTENUANTE BATTAGLIA is the second chapter dedicated to Contemporary Fairy Tales project of Teatro Zemrude - CAPRA Center.
Freely inspired by Peter Pan by James Matthew Barrie and Alessandro Leogrande's The Frontier, migration is central to this work.
In a parallel dramaturgical thought, stories invented are interwoven with real facts, the characters split into two figures, one linked to the fairy tale, the other to current events. The story descends south of the desert, beyond the coastal towns, tracing the journey back to the former Italian colonies. An adventurous and tragic story, in which a handful of children, dragged by Peter Pan, flee from a country at war to reach Europe; the protagonists risk to become Lost Children forever or succeed, at the end of a grueling battle, to cross all the various borders of their journey, escaping traffickers and pirates, in order to reach an island that does not exist.

Levèra: an etymology that means to raise, to lift, to support, to pry, to blow . A strong wind rises and blows from the suburbs. A wind of inclusion, of rebirth, of possibility, of trust.
