Alianello falls under the municipality of the best known Aliano (MT). Aliano is famous for having been the site of the mandatory confinement of the writer Carlo Levi who wrote as follows: -I arrived in Gagliano one August afternoon in a small rickety car, and accompanied by two strong representatives of the state from the red stripes to the trousers and from the expressionless faces-.
The territory of this part of Basilicata is characterized by the famous gullies, the deep furrows dug on the clay hills from the erosion of the waters, a territory partly bleak like a desert and at the same time fascinating as no other place.

The route is characterized by unpaved paths through gullies, dense vegetation, small streams to wade, two slopes with a 20% gradient.
Although this trek is relatively short, it requires good physical preparation.
