The palace underwent impressive reconstruction works in the 19th century, but it is still possible to see traces of the 16th century building in the wing that overlooks Via Cavour.
The angolasre pilaster and the signs of a large portal (with relative weapon) now shaved, are useful elements for the dating of that part of the building and allow to hypothesize that the main entrance of the original building should be in via Cavour and not in via Lillo.
This property was part of the extraordinary patrimony of the Mongiò family and in particular of Angelo Mongiò.
