Congedo Court - 40 Scalfo Street

The imposing ashlar portal finely decorated with cherubs and flowers, the mask placed on the keystone and the coat of arms attributable to the Congedo family, are what remains of the original construction within which the court developed. Beyond this access is the courtyard that becomes a common area for the various housing units that overlook it. These present noteworthy and qualifying elements such as door and window frames. The uniformity of these elements and constructions allows us to imagine that the court was probably the shared space of families descended from the same lineage.
