Accessing the ancient center of the city just beyond the Porta Luce, one finds Corte Gabbiai. Here you can find the open space where Via Tommaso Cavazza intersects with Via Santo Stefano, and where the road that runs along the perimeter of the city's eighteenth-century walls begins. Along the entire route portals, alleys and recesses are the accesses to as many housing units and courtyards, each of which still shows its own characteristic elements. Today the alley ends in a space that runs along the beautiful garden of the Ex Convento delle Clarisse, recently renovated and restored, whose main entrance is in Piazzetta Galluccio.
