Among the Salento itineraries promoted by Millenari di Puglia there is the trekking that allows you to explore the coast of Otranto. Walking along the paths near the sea you will pass by the emerald green lake present in the middle of a red bauxite quarry. A show not to be missed before reaching the most eastern lighthouse in Italy, the Punta Palascìa lighthouse. After a visit to the lighthouse you will return. The trek, which is 18 km long in total, is a medium-difficulty loop trail due to the lack of easy stretches and will end in the late afternoon via the tower of the serpent, a partially ruined coastal tower that preserves the charm of the ancient lookouts of the sea .
The appointment is for Saturday 20 April by 11.00 noon at the parking lot indicated near the port of Otranto. The route is not suitable for children under 10 years of age or even for those who do not have good agility due to some challenging stretches.
For the excursion there is a cost of € 12, places are limited and the deadline is set at 19.00. To participate in the trek, reservations must be made to the organizing secretariat of Millenari di Puglia exclusively by writing via sms or whatsapp on 373.5293970.
Book by Friday maximum.

The Millennials of Puglia
For over five years we have been active in the development of the territory. Every weekend we organize nature excursions in the Valle d’Itria, in the upper Salento and in the Salento, in places of scenic, naturalistic and archaeological interest. The excursion activities allow us to self-sustain our project to enhance millennial olive trees. We are constantly looking for the most spectacular olive trees in our great heritage, to be made known. Whenever possible we insert the most interesting specimens within our itineraries to be able to admire them live, if this is not possible we will however disclose the beauty through the photographs.
Follow us on the Facebook page of Millenari di Puglia or directly on our website to keep up to date on our activities and our discoveries.
