The initiative - Sporchiamoci le mani - follows his tour in the territory to clean up the sites that more than others suffer the wild abandonment of waste.
Involved citizens of all ages struggling with gloves, bags and rakes to clean up areas used as an open dump by uncivilized people.
The expected meeting point will be the Villetta dei Bersaglieri. On the spot the morning program will be presented and all the material suitable for cleaning the area will be provided to all. Then we will split into two groups: one will move to via Ovidio and on the San Vito municipal road and the other group will reach Strada Vicinale Due Trappeti. These are the sites that, along with others, have been identified with major problems.
The company Monteco srl, which takes care of the collection of waste in the Municipality of Galatina, will be present on the spot together with the volunteers to help differentiate and dispose of what will be collected.
The hope is that there will be many who will want to join in this day.
The Legambiente circle - La Poiana - which promoted the event for Galatina was officially established on March 1 and sees the management, in addition to the president Silvana Bascià, two other young people: Luigi Lagna, vice-president, and Pierluigi Zurich, secretary.
