I Like Trekking

I Like Trekking organizes the third stage of -TRAVERSE from the Adriatic to the Ionian Sea. From Torre dell'Orso to Porto Selvaggio-. (see Program)

Third Stage (22 km) - Sunday 17 November
Meeting at 8:30 am near the Wild club on the prov. from Santa Caterina to go to S. Isidoro, above the bay of Porto Selvaggio.
Departure with the machines for Galatina. From here the last stretch: rural roads, vineyards, the beautiful façade of the church of SS. Crucifix in Galatone, work of baroque stonemason; we enter the countryside of Nardò, where we see the quarries for extracting carparo stone. We reach S. Caterina, skirting the wonderful villas of the time and seeing Torre dallAlto. We arrived in Porto Selvaggio, we touch the Ionian Sea (arrival rite).
Return to the parking lot in the early afternoon.

Our goal is to always make more people fall in love with this land, which has so much to offer and to amaze the view with its coasts, the sea and the hinterland rich in history, and the sense of smell with the scents of the Mediterranean full of so many aromatic plants that each of us ignores, and it is precisely with trekking that we can discover this world hidden by a way of life that is sometimes too civilized.
