Historical re-enactment of the therapeutic ritual of tarantism

The patronal feast of Saints Peter and Paul apostles brings every year to Galatina the folklore, the tradition and the lights of an important moment for the city. From 28 to 30 June the ancient ritual of tarantism is recalled and the music becomes the protagonist with tambourines and accordions that on the night of "Ronde" await the dawn, marking the hours between the dances of hundreds of people. Numerous appointments precede and accompany the patronal feast.
