A part of the old center will live in new light through bright projections, video installations, videomapping. The suggestion of light will allow to enhance architectural elevations, views, streets, squares in a unique and particular sound atmosphere.
During the two evenings there will be the projection of a videomapping, with the Nativity theme, on the facade of the Basilica of Santa Caterina.
The work, edited by the AVR - Augmented and Virtual Laboratory of the University of Salento, was created by the videomapper Liliana Scrivano.
The screenings will begin at 18.00 and will occur every 30 minutes.
At the same time the AtFest - Winter Edition, Festival of Digital Arts and New Technologies will come alive.
Six months later, after the first edition organized by the Arte Amica Cooperative in summer 2019 in Castro (LE), the event, unique in its kind for the territory, meets digital arts: workshops, interactive video projections, light installations and site specific interventions of urban light design will light up, on the occasion of the Christmas holidays, one of the urban centers with the greatest historical and artistic impact of the Province of Lecce.
Once again, AtFest aims to enhance the territory by creating unique and original multimedia works of art strongly linked to the use of light and the use of images. The local cultural heritage is thus reinterpreted thanks to new technologies capable of offering different languages every time.
On the evenings of December 28th and 29th 2019, starting from 7.00 pm an articulated path between urban light design interventions, interactive games of light and animated projections of the mosaics of Palazzo Bardoscia (Casa Paterna) and some drawings of Pietro's boundless production Cavoti will wind between via del Balzo, via Robertini, via San Mauro, via San Francesco and piazza Galluccio.
AtFest- Winter Edition begins on 27 December 2019 with Under the sea an illustration workshop dedicated to children, by the CoDE cultural association, experiential digital communities (winner of the PIN call, promoted by the Department of Youth Policies of the Puglia Region and ARTI Puglia), and of the cultural association PAT, active theater principle, during which children will be able to draw the marine characters of a virtual aquatic world that will come alive in real time thanks to a particular software acquisition system and an interactive video projection .
The workshop is free and is aimed at children aged four to eight. It will be held in the congress hall of the former monastery of the Poor Clares.
