The book. The epochal change of the 80s had just begun and Lecce seemed like a city ready, curious, thirsty for novelty. Certainly it was the new generation that, long before social networks and the internet, experienced the city as the starting point and arrival point of its growth experience. Davide, handsome, rich, spoiled and restless, has made the center of Lecce his second home, and together with his friends, he lives his twenty years without restraint.
Like many of his peers, -inciampa- in heroin, more or less consciously, and what appears to be an unparalleled amusement park at the beginning, turns out to be a cage from which it is impossible to escape.
At his side Fabrizio, Martina, Luca, with very different stories but sharing the same dramatic interest, find themselves unprepared and unable to grasp the help that their astonished families try to offer them, trying to support themselves as they can, until the moment in which , for each of them, a turning point arrives. Despite everything, everyone finds himself alone, aware of his own strength, or of his own weakness.
The author. Manuela Del Coco, always passionate about music, costume and culture of the 80s, of which she feels her daughter, lives dividing herself between work, family and her innumerable interests including motorcycles, reading, the sea, personal growth, natural care and spirituality in general.
This is his first novel.
