It starts at 8.00 pm with the screening of the video by the director Giuseppe Pezzulla on the street art and djset labs made respectively by 167 / B Street and by the dj Ennio Ciotta, who took part in girls and boys asylum seekers hosted by the Sprar and Cas projects managed by Arci Lecce.
The final result of the street art workshop, directed by CHEKOS ART, was the mural entitled "Human", realized on the entrance wall of the Giuseppe Specchia stadium, dedicated to Jesse Owens, Olympic sprinter, Samia Yusuf Omar, dead olympic sprinter in a shipwreck and Marielle Franco, murdered civil rights activist.
During the evening, space also for children, with the workshop "Migrant Art: Migration explained to children" by the BLABLABLA association, to reflect through the game, and without rhetoric, on the theme of integration.
Children and little girls will travel with imagination, explore worlds that are never known, knock down invisible walls, recreate the sense of community. Without using great metaphors, working hard on visual language will tell you that, in addition to words, there are people. Following the performance of the actor and director Fabrizio Saccomanno "VIA, the epic of a migration" [URA TEATRO Saccomanno - Pugliese]. Starting from the direct stories of widows and miners who have returned to Italy and collected in a field work interview, the show tells the great and painful emigration of Italians (many of these salentini) who went to work in coal mines in Belgium.
Fabrizio Saccomanno traces the history of post-war Italy, the agreements between the nascent Italian Republic and Belgium, the journey in trains locked up like animals, the hard work in the mine, the Marcinelle tragedy.
The evening will end with the musical selections by Frank Lucignolo, accompanied by the participants of the djset course who will put into practice what they learned during the three days of djset workshop.
A party open to citizens to reaffirm the values of solidarity towards those who flee from war, hunger and persecution, against the politics of rejection, selfishness, denial of rights.
